Raegan was baptized the day she turned 4 months old. It was a wonderful weekend overall since Nat (Raegan's GodMommy) came into town from Hawaii to celebrate with us and be a part of Raegan's baptism. We try to plan lots of reasons to get Aunt Nat to fly home to Chicago! :) One of these times though we'll have good weather for her to come home to. I was told to stop having winter celebrations (wedding, Raegan's birth) or else!
The ceremony was at Geneva Lutheran Church, the same church Eric and I were married in. We love it there. I will say the year after we got married we were bad, we never went to church. I think part of it was the fact the Pastor that married us left. We loved that pastor and felt a close bond with him. But a year later, we found ourselves back at Geneva with an interim Pastor. I liked her, but it took me a little to get used to a female. Then about a month ago Pastor Trudy was selected as the new Pastor at Geneva. Let me tell you one thing, Pastor Trudy is AWESOME! She has such a way with children and her sermons totally keep me interested. Double win!
All-in-all it was a great day full of celebration. The morning was a bit, um, hectic. Let's just say it involved me finding out I should have bought shoes for Raegan's baptism outfit, me then instantly sweating and then ending with Nat running out to buy any cream shoes she could find at 8 am and me shirtless. Long story!
Thank you Phil Marcelo for taking these pictures for us, I will treasure them forever!
