So last year was the first year I had ever gone apple picking, and let me tell you, Eric and I had such a blast, we swore we would do it every year. So this past weekend we woke our booties up early for a Sunday (the place gets crowded and fast) and headed out to Kuipers in Maple Park. This seriously is up there with one of my favorite dates (not quite sure if anything will pass the zoo. yes people I am 26 and have the entertainment level of a 5 year old!) We were somewhat bummed to find out we couldn't buy additional bags (last year we geared up with a whole 1.5 pecks of apples), but were happy the weather was great and headed out to fill up our sad .5 peck size bag.
Of course nothing says apple picking like buying apple pie and apple donuts afterwards. We gave a pretty penny to that darn store on that dang pie, 2 dozen donuts (I feel my thighs growing already), amazing maple granola and carmel apples. Yum!!!!

Until we meet again next year Kuipers, we'll be eating our apples and donuts (hey one bad and one healthy sort of cancel each other out... right??!) in complete bliss!
