Check and Check...

So for the big news which many of you may already know.... ERIC GOT A CALL YESTERDAY TO COME BACK TO BARTLETT FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2010-2011!!! This whole RIF thing has been a little stresser in our house over the past few months. Although we didn't talk about it a whole lot, I know it was always on the back of our minds. Like what would we do if there wasn't enough PE positions for next year, what if no other schools are hiring externally for next year, what would we do for the next school year if no jobs were available in teaching, could we live off of unemployment for a year, how little could we spend in Hawaii in July and still have a good time. You get the point. But all those worries went right out the window yesterday with one little call. INSERT BIG SIGH OF RELIEF HERE!!! So currently Eric will be teaching all three subjects, PE/Health/Drivers Ed. I know he is hoping to some how eventually drop the Health part, but for now we are just happy we can move forward as happy in-love, employed newlyweds for another year! However, with this news it also saddens me to know that some of Eric's co-workers, whom he is closest with, will most likely not receive a call and some have been moved to other schools in the district because of certification issues. It just doesn't seem right that schools base everything on seniority and not work ethic and performance. Ok, I can't get into this right now, otherwise this posting will become a 30 minute write-up. But again, yesterday was a great day in the Kramer household. Too bad we didn't get to celebrate in any way because Eric had grad school last night.

And yet even more news, the track team made it down to state! They qualified three events for this weekends state meet: Discus, shot put and high jump. I believe that this is the first year in school history that 3 events made it down to state. But none the less, I am so proud of Eric that his first year as head track coach he got 3 events down to state, what a great acomplishment! I love you babe!!!

And with that, two more things get checked off the list... up next, new car for me!!!
