I know I've said it before, but it took a bit longer for me to fall into obsessed mode with his little boy, he was not the easiest newborn and let's just say those first 6 weeks are still pretty fresh in my head. But gosh, man-o-man, have the times changed. This kid... this little man.... he has won me over two-fold and he really makes our family feel that much more complete. Eric and I are both home today with the little missy as we are kicking off potty training (side big sister note, from 8 to 1 we have had zero accidents and a few times her telling us she had to go potty without us probing her. She's napping now, so we'll see how that goes) Anyhow, back to the Wes-Man.... so yeah, he is at school today as we were trying to give Raegan 100% attention today and I just keep thinking how much I miss him.
We have had lots of fun this past month, along with some not so fun sicky stuff. He has started to laugh (mostly with daddy, because, well, daddys are the best), he is constantly trying to do sit-ups if he is laying on his back, he loves (I mean LOVES) being outside, he hates to cuddle, he loves blowing raspberries and he loves his thumb and of course still topping the love list is big sis, now sure we will ever top her and I'm pretty sure I am 100% ok with that. I want them to be best buds forever.
We've had our first cold, our first time with croup, our first high fever (101.7), first ear infection and lots of drool. In fact his 4 month picture is the same day he had the 101.7 fever with ear infection, I love his love for life. We had some early 4 month sleep regression which I didn't think either Eric or I would survive, some nights this guy was up 7 times between the hours of 10 and 5 am. After the sleep regression was a growth spurt and after the growth spurt was croup and after croup was the ear infection. I am really hoping we are done with the curve balls so we can all get back to sleeping through the night.
We are down to 5 daytime bottles of 5 ounces and he eats them every 3 to 3.5 hours. In all he typically eats 22 ounces every 24 hours. I'm still pumping and luckily have not needed to supplement, although I am not packing the freezer anymore which does worry me some days. Weston is still in size 2 diapers, 3 month bottoms and just recently 6 month PJs and tops.
We had his 4 month well visit on Wednesday which turned into a sick kid visit due to the fever, so when they weighted him it wasn't official since his clothes were on, but he was 14 lbs 1 oz and 24.25 inches long. He is up 0.75 inches from two weeks ago when I had him in for croup. He's growing and just for some comparisons Raegan was 12 lbs 4 oz and 23 inches long.
