Christmas Presents

This year for Christmas Eric and I decided not to buy each other gifts, but instead give each other something we have both been missing a lot of lately... time with each other. Like an entire day, an entire 24 period where neither one of us has to leave and go do something. Shocking I know! So last Wednesday I took the day off of work and we did just that.

We had scheduled massages for each of us in the afternoon, which allowed us not to set any alarms (we were up before 7 anyhow, more on that in a bit). After our hour and a half massages (jealous yet?) we came back, napped and got ready for dinner. Oh yeah, and in the afternoon Caitlin dropped off our finished wedding album... LOVE IT! After Wildfire we headed to Lucky Strike, a bar/bowling alley in Lombard, to bowl a few games. We didn't go or spend crazy money on our date, but the time together was just great. I know we say it a lot, but we need to do more of that. It was the best Christmas present ever!

Now back to that morning story.... our date day started out to me waking up at 6:30 to the sound of a heaving dog. That heaving dog was laying on me... puking on me! Yes our dog doesn't go find a corner to get sick, he crawls onto his favorite cuddler and pukes right on her. Needless to say our morning started out with me totally grossed out and a full load of laundry!

Happy Tuesday... only three more days of work until NYE!
