My To-Do List for 2011... Well I was just looking back on it today and realized that I haven't done too bad of a job so far. You know, considering that since April I have been incubating this sweet baby girl for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Things I DID Accomplish Thus Far:
Play around with a new hair cut (the short hair was fun and cute, but was a ton of work. Let's just say, I did it, but I do miss my long locks)
Get a digital SLR camera: Just got this guy in the mail last week. I have yet to take pictures with it yet, but we own one and as of now I have no clue how to really use it.
Work out 4 days a week: While I might not be working out to the intensity that I originally wanted to be at, even since getting knocked up I've still successfully walked to and from work (one mile each way) each day. On top of which, I walk Keagan for a hour 4-5 days a week after work. Not great, but not too bad either.
Eat more fruit & veggies: Again thanks to the munchkin, I've been way better at eating healthier than I ever have been before. Trust me I still have my days, but I am pretty proud of myself on this one.
Landscape the Backyard: Wish I actually got pictures of this one from the summer. We finally added a hydrangea and some perennials to the area we dug up last year. It took us a few rounds of finding what worked in our backyard (it doesn't get all that much sun), but we finally did it.
Weed Through Extra Bedroom Closet: Thanks again to this munchkin, we were forced to clean that baby out. The top shelf still has some boxes we need to find a home for somewhere else in the house, but as of now it is basically free for all things baby. Whoop whoop!
Get a New Laptop: Done!
Visit Hawaii: Done!
Create First Year of Marriage Timeline: I had something in mind that I wanted to do for each year we were married. Since there is a letter K in basically every room of our house but our bedroom I thought of doing something with a letter K and list out some of the major things that happened during our first year of marriage. Don't think I ever shared this yet, but it now hangs in a frame in our bedroom.
Drink More Water: Thanks munchkin
Re-carpet Upstairs: Thanks again munchkin. If it wasn't for you we wouldn't have probably wouldn't have felt like we NEEDED to re-carpet and then we wouldn't have had to clean out the closet for the installers.
Re-Tile Bathroom: See above!
Love... Be Happy... Be Healthy!
So I got about half of my things crossed off the list. Not too too bad. Some things I would say got half completed:
- Buy Outfits, not just pieces (what I would give to have buttons and zippers on my pants again!)
- Have more time with family
- Get my butt in gear at night (some nights during those first 13 weeks it took all my energy just to get my butt upstairs to go to bed!)
- More Keagan outside time (let's face it, Keagan thinks Eric is way more fun than me, but we still go on our long walks every night)
- Date Night twice a month (yes and no. We totally spend more time together, but most of that time was just around the house)
- Storage in the garage (this happened, but as of now it is sort of half-assed)
- Like cooking (yeah total love hate relationship here)
- Organize Photos Online
- Figure out dining room layout once and for all
- 1st year of marriage album (I don't know how many times Eric can ask for a completed Duke album before I actualy get it done)
What I hope to still accomplish:
Yeah... these just won't happen:
Insulate Garage (maybe next year?)
Run a 5K (next year, next year. Next year will be all about get my booty back in shape and be a hot mamma!)
